"US LAW ALLOWS VETERANS AND SERVICEMEN
NOT IN UNIFORM TO SALUTE THE US FLAG. Previous to the passage of this
law, veterans and servicemen not in uniform placed their hand over their
heart. The new law, passed July 25, 2007, allows veterans and servicemen
alike to salute the flag, whether they are in uniform or not."
