77th SUSTAINMENT BRIGADE
On 19 November 2011, the 77th Sustainment Brigade, USAR, which carries on the lineage of the 77th Infantry Division, celebrated its return from deployment in Iraq with an Uncasing and Welcome Home Ceremony at Fort Dix, NJ. The ceremony featured the formal uncasing of the Brigade Colors, which had been carried to Iraq; the granting of numerous awards to returning soldiers and leaders of organizations which supported their familes while they were away; and remarks by COL Stephen J. Falcone, Commander, 77th STB, and U.S. Rep. Jon Runyon (NJ 3rd Cong. Dist.). Numerous family members of the returning soldiers were in attendance. Attending from our Association, at the invitation of the STB, were President (COL) Louis H. Sudholz, Jr., COL and Mrs. Seymour Kaplan, COL Edwin G. Logan, LTC and Mrs. John W. Peterkin, and Mr. Malcolm R. Schade.
